My favorite TV shows, because I can never pin them down. In order of liked the most :

1. The Simpsons, Firefly, Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog

2. Arrested Development, Whose Line is it Anyway?, The Chaser’s War on Everything, Burn Notice, 30 Rock, Rescue Me, The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

3. Castle, Chuck, Community, Defying Gravity, Dollhouse, The Office, Prison Break, White Collar, The Colbert Report

I love all these shows absolutely with all of the bottom of my heart. Some are quite new, some are cancelled, but they’re all good. Yay! Now I have a reference.

So I’ve been considering what my favorite bands of all time are. And I have my answer. My two favorite bands, that so far I’ve liked every song I’ve heard, are Pink Floyd and Flight of the Conchords. And both are at pretty different ends of the spectrum in music, but so far I’ve liked them a lot.
We’ll see if it holds up. I also plan to outline my favorite TV shows as well.

One of my hugest pet peeves is when people take forever to respond during a chat. I can usually respond pretty promptly, even when working on other things alongside with it. This bugs me to the point where I will deliberately delay my response, in a less feeble attempt to see if they catch on. It doesn’t usually work. \

Honestly, if you’re busy, just say so and get off, don’t waste my time. Or at least let me know if the phone rang or whatever.

Most Thrilling New Drama!

I was watching Fast Forward on Hulu (:D), and I’m starting to get into it. Its an interesting premise, but if it does go its full length, doesn’t seem like it will continue on past four or five seasons. And, the commercial was for Fast Forward, which had the usual staple of fast cuts and blurbs from reviewers, all boiling down to ‘the best new drama on television.’
Look, its a decent show, and the momentum is starting to pick up, but really, the best new drama? That kind of seems like a stretch, similar to saying I make the most of my time in the mornings not doing anything. Is it natural for reviewers to jump the gun like this? Personally, I prefer checking out the A.V. Club for anything I need, they’re great guys who know their stuff.

So I’ve seen several of those new Halo ODST commercials (if you haven’t, you must be living under a rock) and I have to say I really like them. Back when I really cared about the Halo universe and read all the novels, the ODST’s were cooler than the Spartans themselves. The commercial, which is just snippets from a video several minutes long, outlines the life of a ODST, from the mud soaked training to drops, to the inevitable burial ceremonies. The entire piece only has about three shades of grey and one of flesh, but the overall tone of the game is easily conveyed: its hell.
Now my only wish is that more products are advertised in this manner.

Finally making some notable progress with animations, and work on mechanics is slow, while the first background is underway. Also gonna go see Zombieland later, the only zombie flick that has caught my eye in oh.. my life.

Dammit, programming can be the funnest thing in the world. Figuring out problems and constructing scenarios you want to portray, its a very rewarding experience. Until you get to the inexplicable errors that on the face of it seem to be perfectly fine.

I went on a binge of source images, after complaining about the lack of them for so long. Got good stuff, still not exactly everything I wanted, but good nonetheless. New GameDamage trailer, looks interesting, hopefully it works out for them.

Argh.

So this cold is making me feel the worst I’ve felt in a long time. And its not being helped by my favorite tea. Currently working on some arty type things, which I can showcase before.. I dunno, the next Olympics or something.

I’m the kind of person, when if you’re driving behind me, and you pull out because both of us realized that I’m going five or ten below the speedlimit, I will speed up to make your life of passing me more difficult. Is this a dickish move to do? Its gotten to the point where I do it automatically.

Kashmir just popped on the radio. Its a great song with excellent guitars, but I can’t stand more than a minute or two of that singer. It just clashes with the awesomeness of the background music. And I realized I have homework due tomorrow. Great.
